Super Bowl LI in Houston does not have its halftime performer yet, but we know it won’t be Adele.
Adele told a crowd at her concert in Los Angeles on Saturday that the NFL approached her about doing the halftime show, but she declined.
“First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl. Well, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really — I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no.”
Coldplay technically headlined last season’s halftime show, but Beyonce and Bruno Mars overshadowed the British rock band. Adele brought up the Super Bowl after rumors circulated earlier in the week that he was the favorite to land the gig.
